Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the process of wiretapping, clumping, and the yield and quality of rubber processing materials (bokar) in the wholesale tapping area compared to the official tapping area. This research applies a survey method with independent analysis tests, t-test samples, and laboratory tests. The results showed that the tapping process in the wholesale tapping area began 30 minutes longer than in the official tapping area, and the process of clumping rubber processing materials in the wholesale tapping area and the official tapping area was carried out in the same way. The average daily production of rubber processing materials between the official tapping area and the wholesale tapping area did not show a significant difference. The quality of the rubber processed material in the dry rubber content parameter did not show a significant difference, but at the initial plasticity (P0), the parameters of the plasticity retention index, mooney viscosity, and volatile matter showed a significant difference between the slab from the official tapping area and the wholesale tapping area. Further research needs to be conducted on the quality of rubber processing materials in other tapping area categories.
